GA497-290 requires a lower grip to pull the wire, and universal swivel adapter (see GA327). The fixture transmits the load in a way to mimic the load conditions that the wire experiences in concrete. The fixture holds the wire so that the load is applied along the centerline of the vertical wire. The horizontal wire is also held close to the location where the vertical wire is held in place.The fixture must be attached to the test machine with self-aligning joint. The horizontal wire is completely secure and the vertical wire is placed in an anvil so that it is loose and allows the load to be transmitted freely.
