ASTM D2229 specifies test fixtures for determining the adhesion properties of steel wires attached to vulcanized rubber. GD2229-706 are specially designed to avoid slippage while pulling a steel cord from a block of vulcanized rubber. Other wire materials are applicable with the test fixture.
