The GD6241-174 fixture meets ASTM D6241 for testing puncture strength of geotextile materials. As specified by ASTM D6241, the fixture plunger has a 50 mm diameter with 2.5 mm radius edges and a 150 mm internal diameter specimen clamping apparatus. The clamping rings are machined with a 2 mm radius on internal edges, to not damage the fabric in testing, and the fabric is secured from slippage by 12 equally spaced bolts and grooved clamping surfaces.
