Bone Staple and Fixation Staple Testing

Several ASTM tests cover the mechanical testing requirements for medical bone staples. ASTM F564 shows the requirements for tension and compression tests of metallic fixation staples with flexural testing. The standard also includes four point bend tests and pull out testing with and without shear stress.
