ASTM D 6109 determines the flexural properties for any solid or hollow manufactured plastic lumber product of square, rectangular, round, or other geometric cross section that shows viscoelastic behavior. ASTM D6109 is used for evaluating the properties of plastic lumber as a product and not a material property test method. A specimen of rectangular cross section is tested in flexure as a beam either in a flat “plank” mode (Method A), or an edgewise “joist” mode (Method B).
By means of our plastic testing expertise and modular product design, we will help find the testing solution that is right for you. Give one of our application engineers a call today for help with creating the best budget and testing plan according to ASTM D6109.
