ASTM D7337 specifies the standard test method for tensile creep rupture of fiber reinforced polymer matrix composite bars, commonly used for tensile reinforcement of prestressed or post-tensioned concrete. ASTM D7337 requires that test specimens are not subjected to dynamic effects, vibration, or torsion during testing. Full load is required to be applied to the specimen over a time range from 20 seconds to 5 minutes. Constant loading at the full prescribed load is then maintained until rupture of the composite test specimen occurs.
By means of our tensile testing expertise and modular product design, we will help find the solution that is right for you. Give our test engineers a call today for help configuring the best test machine and accessories according to ASTM D7337.
