The ASTM F2562 standard details the testing of steel reinforced, spirally formed thermoplastic pipes whose size ranges from 8 in. to 120 in (200mm to 3000mm) in diameter and are used for non-pressureized underground applications where the soil provides support for the walls. Impact resistance, flattening, buckling, stiffness and tensile strength of the seams, perforations, joint systems and markings are tested under this standard. Both SI and inch-pound units may be used as the standard.
