BS 373 provides standard test methods for testing the various properties of clear wood specimens. Contained in BS 373 are procedures for conducting test in static bending, impact, compression parallel to the grain, compression perpendicular to the grain, shear parallel to the grain, cleavage, tensile parallel to the grain, and tensile perpendicular to the grain.
