IEC
The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a standards organization that creates and publishes International Standards for all electronic technologies. IEC standards deal with power generation, transmission, distribution to home appliances and office equipment, semiconductors, fibre optics, batteries, solar energy, nanotechnology and marine energy technology. IEC also manages three international systems that certify whether equipment, systems or components conform to its International Standards.
