ISO 14126 outlines procedures for determining the compressive properties of fibre-reinforced plastics composites in the in-plane direction. Two methods are detailed in the standard. Method 1 uses shear loading of the specimen and Method 2 uses end loading or mixed loading of the specimen. Both methods require different gripping fixtures.
