The ISO 3375 standard describes the testing and test apparatus used for obtaining stiffness values of various glass-fibre reinforced rovings. The thin bundles of fibres are draped over a hook and the distance between the ends of the bundles are measured with a sliding scale for comparision with other rovings.
Equipment Required
The testing apparatus shall consist of a means for the controlled unwinding of the roving and a roving stiffness test. The roving stiffness tester shall consist of a stainless steel hook of a circular corss-section and a sliding scale positioned 60 mm below the point of suspension.
