ISO 6721-5 Flexure Dynamic Testing of Plastic Composites

ISO 6721-6 Plastic Shear Vibration Fatigue

The purpose of ISO 6721-6 is to determine the effects of dynamic shear vibration on plastic materials. ISO 6721-6 aims to use shear vibration loading on plastic specimen to determine the shear complex modulus G(Zeichen). Testing is typically done between 0.01 Hz and 100 Hz. ISO 6721-6 can be used to measure dynamic storage moduli in the range of 0.1 MPa to 50 MPa. Dynamic shear vibration testing in accordance to ISO 6721-6 is exceedingly useful for measuring loss factors greater than 0.1.

ISO 6721-7 Torsional Vibration of Plastics

ISO 6721-7 describes a torsional vibration method for determining the components of the shear complex modulus of solid polymers in the form of bars or rods at frequencies typically in the range 0.001 Hz to 100 Hz. Suitable for measuring dynamic storage moduli ranging from about 10 MPa to values of about 10 GPa. Particularly suited to the measurement of loss factors greater than 0.1.

ISO 6721-10 Plastic Shear Viscosity

ISO 6721 Part 10: Complex shear viscosity using a parallel-plate oscillatory rheometer. ISO 6721-10 covers the determination of plastic viscosity and other viscoelastic characteristics and the effect of frequency, strain amplitude, temperature and time. The test uses a machine that is capable of constant amplitude cyclic loading to apply mechanical oscillations to the thermoplastic polymer test specimen. Temperature controlled chambers are necessary to determine the rheological nature of the plastic specimen through a range of temperatures. ISO 6721-10 is valid for frequencies from 0.01 to 100 Hz.
