Water Pressurization Fatigue

Water pressurization fatigue tests are used to determine the ultimate strength of a sample material using intense water pressure. In these tests, the real over pressure on the yield point and on the ultimate strength are measured for the sample material. Loading is created from high water pressure and is then recorded by testing software. Fatigue test machines using servocontrolled high pressure servohydraulics can be adapted for water pressurization testing applications by adding a specially engineered water based actuator inline with the servocontrolled linear hydraulic cylinder. The system can be volume controlled using an inline LVDT or can be pressure-controlled using the pressure sensor. This machine can perform both static strength tests and fatigue tests.
