Tack measurement for pressure-sensitive adhesives allow for the determination of an adhesive’s strength, or stickiness, which varies based on the pressure applied when the bond is made. The loop tack test is performed by manufacturers and end users of pressure-sensitive adhesives, and indicates results such as the adhesive strength. The EN 1719 test method uses polyester film or paper test samples coated with adhesive and cured.
