GD1062-87 meets ASTM D 1062 for holding a test specimen between a fixed member and a movable member and for determining the cleavage properties of adhesive bonds of various metals. The grips are of the self-aligning type, and are attached so the fixed and movable members move into alignment as soon as any load is applied.
